Overview

The Kas Plateau is situated at the Sahyadri hills near Satara. This plateau is well known for its unique biosphere, high hill plateaus and grasslands. During monsoon season, especially in the month of August, the plateau comes to life, with picturesque view of various types flowers that carpet the floor of the plateau. As per the Forest Department’s Board at Kas Plateau, there are more than 150 or more types of flowers, shrubs and grasses found here.!! Towards the south of the Kas Plateau there is a wonderful lake, which is know as Kas Lake is just like a bowl carved out of the Sahyadri mountains. Further 30 Kms towards the south of Kas Lake are the backwaters of the Koyna Project. Apart from these there are number of other scenic places like caves, picnic spots, boating places, temples etc. which not only attract tourists from India, but also from other parts of the world.

Day 1 Early Morning at sharp 7:00 a.m. start for Kas Pathar from a common starting point in Pune by AC push back seat bus or tempo traveler.
On the way have a sumptuous breakfast and proceed for Kas Pathar. Reach Kas Pathar around 10:00 a.m.
After reaching Kas enjoy the nature and the sight of variety of flowers spread across the land. Get some useful knowledge of the variety of flowers that bloom during the monsoon season. Also witness the chirping of various birds and sight of different beautiful birds. Here you will be tempted to take photographs of the different flowers which we have not seen before.
After this amazing experience proceed towards Kas lake. Here if permitted we will do boating and enjoy the scenery around.
After sometime return back to Pune en route having lunch.
Reach Pune in the evening to depart with memories to cherish life long.

  • Until 30 days 50% cancellation charges on the land package.
  • Until 15 days 75 % cancellation charges on the land package.
  • 15 days or less 100 % cancellation charges on the land package.
  • By paying booking amount of 50% or Rs. 10,000 per person whichever is less you may reserve your seat.The rest of the amount has to be paid at least 2 weeks prior to departure.
