Overview

Marwar (also called Jodhpur region) is a region of southwestern Rajasthan state in North Western India. It lies partly in the Thar Desert. In Rajasthani dialect "wad" means a particular area. The word Marwar is derived from Sanskrit word 'Maruwat'. English translation of the word is 'the region of desert. The region includes the present-day districts of Barmer, Jalore, Jodhpur, Nagaur, and Pali. It is bounded on the north by Jangladesh region, on the northeast by Dhundhar, on the east by Ajmer, on the southeast by Mewar, on the south by Godwar, on the southwest by Sindh, and on the west by Jaisalmer region

Day 1 Arrive at Jaipur airport / railway station & Transfer to the Hotel.
Arrive at Jaipur airport / railway station & Transfer to the Hotel. Check in to the Hotel. Jaipur.-the capital of Rajasthan was given a color coat of pink a century ago in honor of a visiting Prince and ever since, it has retained this color. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer, this city is 260 years old. Visit Maharaja’s City Palace,& the Observatory. Drive past Hawa Mahal & through the pink rose residential & business areas. Rest day at Leisure. Overnight Jaipur.
Day 2 Jaipur Sightseeing
Morning visit Amber Fort. Amber Fort was the ancient capital of the State. Visit the Sheesh Mahal or the Hall of Victory glittering with mirrors. Afternoon tour of Jaipur. Day 3 Jaipur - Jodhpur
Later drive to Jodhpur (350 km / 07-08 hrs.). En-route visit Pushkar and Ajmer and visit the famous Brahmakumari Temple at Pushkar and Dargah at Ajmer. Arrive Jodhpur & transfer to the Hotel. Check in to the Hotel. Rest day at Leisure. Overnight in Jodhpur.
Day 4 Jodhpur sightseeing
After breakfast, pick me up from Hotel. Leave for local sightseeing tour of Jodhpur is the stronghold of the fierce Rathore clan, founded in 1459 by Prince Jodha. Visit the Mehrangarh Fort, situated on a low sandstone hill. Within the fort, visit Moti Mahal and Phool Mahal. Also visit Jaswant Thada, an imposing marble cenotaph, built in memory of Maharaja Jaswant singh II around 1899 and Umaid Public gardens. Overnight in Jodhpur.
Day 5 Jodhpur - Jaisalmer (280 km / 05 hrs).
After breakfast, Check out from Hotel. Drive to Jaisalmer– 280 km, en route to the massive Fort Pokhran, the town Pokhran came to the limelight when several nuclear tests were conducted here during the 1970′s and the 1990′s. After the visit , continue to drive to Jaisalmer, on arrival transfer to the hotel. Evening you can enjoy the city atmosphere. Overnight in Jaisalmer.
Day 6 Jaisalmer Sightseeing
After breakfast take a sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer covering Jaisalmer Fort built on the highest point of the Trikuta hill, consisting of 99 bastions. Outstanding features are Megh Durbar & various temples, Salim Singh-Ki-Haveli & Patwon-Ki-Haveli – some of the beautiful mansions with stone carving and latticework of breathtaking intricacy, followed by Gadisar Lake. Later, after a lunch drive to Sam Sand Dunes – 45 km en route visit the ancient Temple of Lodurva, Amar Sagar and Mool Sagar Complex, built in 1815 AD, The complex also houses a summer palace where some beautiful paintings and pictures are displayed. On arrival at Sam Sand Dunes and transfer on Camels and enjoy camel safari to discover the various sights and sounds, the ruins and the temples in and around Jaisalmer in an authentic and leisurely fashion with entertainment by folk performers, visits to villages, and chatter from colorful guides thrown in. After safari , drive back to Jaisalmer for Overnight Camp in Jaisalmer.
Day 7 Jaisalmer - Jodhpur (290 km - 5 ½ hrs). Departure to the airport / railway station for your onward destination.
